From the moment you arrive at St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, you’ll immediately notice our total commitment to your comfort. To prove it, we refer to you as a guest… not as a patient.
The first person you’ll encounter is our Concierge, who will greet you, confirm your arrival and alert the appropriate clinical area(s) that you have arrived.
Then, a SVHCI team member will come to the lobby and escort you to the next appropriate area. Typically, if you have come for a procedure, a team member from our Short Stay Unit (SSU) will take you to the SSU where you will be prepped.
During your procedure, your family will be asked to check back with the Concierge desk. They will be given a pager so that, wherever they are in our facility, they can be alerted when the physician is ready to talk with them about your procedure.
After your procedure is complete, you will either be escorted to your private guest suite (if you’ve had an inpatient procedure) or back to the Short Stay Unit (for outpatient procedures) to recover before going home.
Please be sure to have someone available to drive you home following any type of procedure. If you are unable to secure a ride home, we will be happy to help you make arrangements.
