St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana earns cardiovascular care honors

St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana recently earned cardiovascular care honors from two nationally-recognized organizations for top performance and quality care.
Thomson Reuters recognized both locations (86th Street campus and 106th and N. Meridian St.) in its annual study – 100 Top Hospitals: Cardiovascular Benchmarks. The study examined the performance of 971 hospitals by analyzing outcomes for patients diagnosed with heart failure and heart attacks, and for those who received coronary bypass surgery or percutaneous cardiovascular interventions such as angioplasties. St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana at 86th Street is the only teaching hospital in Indiana with cardiovascular residency programs to be recognized and has received this recognition for four consecutive years (2006-2009). St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana at 106th and N. Meridian St. is listed in the community hospital category in the Thomson Reuters’ comparison groups and has received this award in 2006, 2007 and 2009.
