HeartScan is a coronary artery scan that measures the amount of “calcified” or “hardened” plaque inside your heart’s arteries. Through the use of a CT scanner, we take a rapid series of images inside your heart, lungs and blood vessels to determine if you have any early warning signs for heart disease.
HeartScan is fast, convenient, no pain and takes only a few minutes.
By having a HeartScan at one of five different St.Vincent Health locations you can identify your risk for heart disease and make lifestyle changes that will greatly reduce your chances of suffering a heart attack, stroke, or other forms of cardiovascular disease.
